Simon’s Cat Logic: Why Do Cats Have a “Crazy Time”?

By the Simon’s Cat Team
@SimonsCat

Simon’s Cat Logic is a fun and informative new series featuring Simon’s Cat cartoons and a cat behaviour expert at Cats Protection. In this video, find out why domestic cats do some of the silly things they do and how we can help our pet cats lead happy and healthy lives.

Cat Facts and Cat Naps

Outdoor cats are active both day and night, but they tend to be a little more active at night. Cats conserve energy by sleeping more than most animals, especially as they grow older. Most cats sleep between 12 and 16 hours a day, while some cats can sleep as much as 20 hours. While asleep, cats experience short periods of rapid eye movement sleep, often accompanied by muscle twitches, suggesting that they might be dreaming.
